About

Partnering can be your greatest multiplier of opportunity.

In an uncertain economy we seek fresh ways to increase profits – without increasing overhead. More than ever, we value the camaraderie of smart colleagues – and shared success.

Collaboration makes work more fun and more lucrative.  In this blog you’ll discover – and hopefully share – proven partnering methods, examples, ways to choose and recruit the best partners, steps, pitfalls, easy ways to start partnering – and how to make successive partnering projects ever bigger and better for everyone.

When done right, partnering is the single most efficient tool for attracting customer spending…

After a decade of forging over 80 profitable partnerships for others, writing two books on the topic and speaking at over 200 conferences I thought the time was ripe for cultivating an online community here where we can share ideas.

My goal?

That anyone who owns or works at a consumer-serving business of any size or kind finds a partnering method here that can be adapted to grow that business.

And that those who are part of a club or other membership-based organization or non-profit or government agency will adapt a method they discovered here to expand their capacity to serve. You, too, may become an avid fan of SmartPartnering. You may use this tool to become top-of-mind in the “market” you serve – and your best partners will become trusted friends.

…and the most reliable friendship and community-builder.

Nothing beats shared success for strengthening ties. Partnering enables us to cultivate thriving businesses and friendships – often with individuals with whom we thought we had little in common.

Life is a theatre. You, too, can play a richer character role in more satisfying scenes with partners when delighting a shared niche market of customers. Adept partnering with others who serve the same kind of people may be our best way to work at creating thriving businesses, groups and communities in this new Normal world.

With each post in this blog I look forward to reading your variations on the partnering method described or “what-if” scenario, related success story or method.
